Launching: World Panel on Sustainability in Hospitality

Maintaining momentum on climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies, the travel and hospitality industry has an essential role to play today in shaping the sector towards 2050 and a day after the 2019 UN Global Climate Action Summit, I am indeed pleased to announce the launch of the HospitalityNet’s World Panel on Sustainability in Hospitality

Since sustainability covers a wide range of topics, this panel is supported by more than 50 experts across many fields, including food, energy, water, waste, facilities, communication, social, and strategy. The aim is to get sustainability anchored more than ever into the hospitality conversation and decision-making. – and it would be great to have you on board.

Climate Emergency And The Hospitality Industry: Are We On Track?

The idea is not only to feel the pulse of the industry but also spark a conversation that could generate ideas for how the industry might approach challenging issues. You can read the input from theDirector of the International Tourism Partnership as well as theVP of Global Sustainability for Las Vegas Sands Corp. for example.

Viewpoints and input from experts will be posted on a monthly basis covering topics ranging from Food Waste, Plastic use, Supply Chain, Metrics/Measurements to Marketing and Certification to name a few areas of interest.

Do share the links above to whoever you know would be interested. And I know one or the other would like to join the panel, do reach out!
