About Us

EuroCHRIE is the official federation for Europe, the Mediterranean Basin and Africa of International CHRIE, the leading international organisation that supports education and training for the world's largest industry.

EuroCHRIE represents 185 International CHRIE members. The European Federation brings together educators from hospitality & tourism management schools and universities into a global network in close co-operation with industry representatives. Under the CHRIE umbrella, both education and industry combine their efforts to shape the future of hospitality & tourism.

EuroCHRIE offers an ideal platform to share information through conferences, publicationsand individual networking. The organisation's strength is based on its sheer force of sharing and exchanging ideas, visions, experiences, educational material, research and technological know-how.

Albania, Algeria, Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czechoslovakia, Denmark, Egypt, Eire, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Isle of Man, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Latvia, Lebanon, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Libya, Malta, Monaco, Morocco, Netherlands, Norway, Palestine, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey, United Kingdom, Vatican City, plus those states recognised by the United Nations from the former states of Yugoslavia and USSR (west of the Ural range of mountains), and countries in the Middle East and Africa. International CHRIE

Founded in 1946 as a non-profit organisation for schools, colleges and universities offering programs of study in hospitality and tourism, International CHRIE has since expanded its scope to include the enhancement of professionalism at all levels of the hospitality and tourism industry, monitoring ongoing developments and keeping its members at the forefront of trends.

With around 1,500 members world-wide located in close to 50 countries, CHRIE is a tremendous source of interaction, information and influence for everyone committed to hospitality and tourism industry related education and training, including professionals from the industry itself, and representatives from allied associations. CHRIE works to enhance professionalism in the hospitality and tourism industry - and ultimately service quality and competitiveness - through education and training.

For more than 50 years, International CHRIE has had the foresight and ingenuity to identify trends, and to respond in a constructive manner. In recent years, International CHRIE's focus has expanded and its mission statement has evolved, making it a marketplace for facilitating exchanges of information, ideas, research, products and services related to education, training and resource development for the hospitality and tourism industry (food, lodging, recreation and travel services). Serving as the hospitality and tourism education network, we strive to unite educators, industry executives and associations.
