An Update from John Fong - 2nd Edition
Dear EuroCHRIE Friends,
Greetings from The Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management (EAHM) – the Proud Host of EuroCHRIE Dubai 2014. Just about a month to go and you would be pleased to note that we are in the final stages of preparation for the Conference – we hope you are as well!
We have about 211 on the list of confirmed delegates and we expect a few more to register in the coming weeks. We hope that you have arranged for your visas (if necessary), flights and accommodation too – remember that the “Getting Here & Arrival Tips” document is extremely useful and if it’s your first time coming to Dubai, do print it off and keep it with you.
The Conference programme has been updated and if you are presenting a paper/poster, the schedule of the presentation is attached to this email. Kindly note that the poster presentations will be held at the Foyer area of the Jumeirah Beach Hotel Conference Centre while paper presentations will be held at The Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management. For those of you who have volunteered to be a Moderator, please note your session as well – remember that the various guidelines for paper/poster presenters and moderators are available on the website.
We have prepared a sterling lineup of keynote speakers and workshop presenters just for you. Here’s some highlights:

In addition to the above, we have also prepared 3 fun-filled evenings:
- Welcome Reception [6 Oct, 6.30pm – 8pm; First-time attendees from 5:30pm onwards]
- Futuristic NEON Night [7 Oct, 7:30pm till late; Casual Dress – Come Dressed to Shine!]
- Gala Dinner [8 Oct, 8:00pm till late; Formal Dress – Come Dressed to Impress!]
You can certainly sense our excitement by now and we cannot wait to welcome you! And by the way, for those of you who intend to stay on in Dubai for a few more days, there’s plenty of things to do like Shopping, Desert Safaris and visiting the cultural sights. If you’re a little more adventurous, here’s something that you can try as well.
