Jouni Ahonen
Jouni Ahonen is the director in hotel, restaurant and tourism education unit of HAAGA-HELIA. The unit employs 60 people and educates hospitality and tourism experts, managers and entrepreneurs. Jouni Ahonen holds MSc in Tourism Marketing from University of Surrey. Before moving on to the field of education he worked in hotel, restaurant and tourism supervisory and management positions for 20 years, the past ten years as the general manager and entrepreneur. Internationally, Jouni Ahonen is EuroCHRIE past president and EUHOFA member of the Board. In addition, Jouni Ahonen is involved in a number of domestic governance. His postgraduate qualification relates to the development of service concepts and services marketing, especially experiences. The research projects he has been involved in, are the hotel of tomorrow, future service spaces, InnoCatering and SILAB.
