John S. Lohr
John S. Lohr represents the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute (EI) and its interests in Europe as an international education and training consultant for the European market. He has lived in over seven countries including, USA, Germany, Switzerland, Thailand, India and Poland since leaving his homeland of Nebraska in the US. John received his BA from the University of Nebraska in International Studies and German and later his PGD in hospitality management from the prestigious Glion Institute of Higher Education hospitality school in Switzerland. After his studies he ventured to Asia where he worked in numerous management and consulting roles in the hospitality industry with Intercontinental Hotel Group as well as an Indian Knowledge Process Outsourcing company. To be closer to his family John left Asia and moved back to Europe and presently resides in Poland with his wife Angelika and his two sons Aleksander and Stefan. For the Educational Institute (EI) John spends a great deal of time traveling and networking with hotel schools and industry partners in 35+ countries and is responsible for developing Global Academic Partners with both hospitality institutes and associations. As the new director of membership John hopes to apply his knowledge of the industry and academia with his energetic and creative personality to further the goals of the group and strengthening the value of EuroCHRIE membership.
