Elizabeth Ineson
Elizabeth (Liz) Ineson read Psychology and Mathematics before completing a PhD in Hospitality Management Education. She is a Visiting Research Fellow at Manchester Metropolitan University, UK, and her recent teaching experience embraces research methods, management consultancy and cultural dimensions; she has substantial PhD supervisory experience. For her research contributions, Liz was awarded fellowship of the Institute of Hospitality and the Institute of Travel and Tourism; in 1999, she won the EuroCHRIE President’s award for outstanding achievement and she was subsequently awarded an honorary Professorship by Budapest Business School.
The focus of Liz’s current work is on experiential and action learning to underpin research and consultancy through education-industry links, so promoting the development of educators and managers in the Industry. She has conducted research, staff development and mentoring seminars in Central and Eastern Europe since 1990, initially with European funding. Since 1999 she has represented, and been sponsored by the charitable trust, La Fondation pour la formation hôtelière. Liz is responsible for the budgeting, strategic and operational planning, and delivery of their seminar programme. She has conducted over 100 research projects, the results of which are reflected in over 200 publications, conference contributions, short courses, and reports, including five edited/co-edited books.
